Great CD's from very early years until more recently before 'passing' - R.I.P. For example, tracks like When I Lost You and a few concert versions of key songs like Night and Day.

Having lived a long life with all of these recordings, I can only say that this superlative collection is a dream come true, and will make it convenient for my grandchildren to have an easy opportunity to hear someone whom I consider to be the greatest pop singer who ever lived sing some unforgettable standards of the 20th Century. The set folds outward, made of flimsy cardboard—more like a thick paper really—and the discs are in the folds of the set and virtually impossible to get out without scratching. Sound is great and it is a dual LP that has more songs than what the website is listing. You can hear the biggest difference in My Way (worst quality), Summer Wind, New York (but I think they did great job here), Ill Never Smile Again (Rip from shellac maybe). One track that I would have included in this CD collection is a Dr. Demento favorite, "From The Bottom Of My Heart", showing kind of a humorous side to Sinatra.

New Sinatra listeners will love this. Poor condition of jacket with bends and crushed corners. With his 100th birthday fast approaching, it was inevitable that Frank Sinatra’s 60+ year recording output would be anthologized for the umpteenth time, with the obligatory ‘unreleased track’ or two included to entice hardcore fans, along with the promise of remastered sound and other goodies.

When I played "My Way" for the first time I was swept away by the rawness of emotion and the classic sound of the old big band music. The song collection itself is a classic, of course, not much else to add to that. Arrived in just a few days from ordering. The album artwork is beautiful. One of the few albums I've found with My Way in it!!

“Ultimate Sinatra” is available in several different editions, the most extensive being the four disc collection that covers 1943-1979. This album was at Barnes and Nobles for ten bucks more but in mint condition.

Love it. The most important songs IMO (the ones that are in disc 2) are mostly mastered fine, but for example the first 2 tracks on the first lp are atrociously bad sounding, i dont know where they sourced them from but i guess no mastering will save that mess. Some lesser known songs were on there and though he did everything well, I think we want to hear the songs we knew well. Loads of value for the price (because it really is priceless music/art that we are lucky to have access to - and there are hundreds and hundreds of other recordings by Sinatra that must be explored, if the music on this set moves you).
