Photo by Bill Ingalls/NASA |, The Demo-2 mission is the first launch with astronauts of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft and Falcon 9 rocket to the ISS as part of the NASA's Commercial Crew Program. This is the view from the ISS directly down to earth. The Soyuz MS-16 landed in the remote steppe of Kazakhstan at about 10:54 p.m. EDT, marking the end of a 196-day mission for Cassidy, Ivanishin and Vagner after having spent the last few days packing completed science experiments, personal items and other types of cargo onto the spacecraft. The flight test will demonstrate the spacecraft's escape capabilities.
