The Legend series is an amazing start to a trilogy and i LOVED it! If you get a high score, you're looking at a college education and working with the republic, like a top military figure. Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. I can’t wait.

Legend by Marie Lu was heavily advertised and has been on my to read list for some time. I've been rather unimpressed by some of the dystopian books popping up in the past year, but Legend definitely stepped up to the plate with its awesome. I have to admire Marie Lu for her admirable writing from the viewpoint of two geniuses, but the thing that let it down was that June and Day's voices were often hard to distinguish. Not to mention, she seems to observe and judge fairly quickly (then sternly maintains that idea until she logically convinces herself otherwise--usually when someone is in danger). Don't get me wrong. Even when you figure out who Metias’s killer is, it still isn’t concrete for another 10-20 pages.

I often found myself wondering how on earth one of them suddenly teleported across the other side of the city. I mean, if I'm honest, I'd probably read a cereal box if Marie Lu had scribbled on it.

It is the first book in the Legend trilogy, followed by Prodigy and Champion. Unfortunately, I found this book to be quite average. Completely steals you away from reality and sends you into a world full of suspense, sacrifice and the fight for justice. The writing in this book is quite weak - little variation in sentence length, few sensory details, no attention to the sonic experience.

There is one type of ruling government, which is The Republic. And so it is in Legend, the first entry in Marie Lu's award-winning young adult trilogy. Loved it! Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2013.

I don't read a lot of Dystopian or post apocalyptic books, and the ones I read are mostly based on romance like Cinder or Shatter Me, so I was surprised with how much I enjoyed Legend even though it was more focused on the world and it's happening rather than love story between the two characters. it is defiently my favourite series and deserves more than a 5, I defiently recomend it if you love action and romance! The characters did not have as much depth for a dystopian novel and there was really no WOW OMG WTH factor.

Legend has all the things I want in a YA dystopian story --- political intrigue, governmental conspiracies, systematic plagues, a nation at war and two incredibly strong protagonists. Most of it is sub-par, but I've been working through the titles that might actually give HG a run for its money.

Whilst this might fit the mould of YA Dystopian novels in every possible way (hello corrupt society, trials to prove your worth, rich vs poor, power hungry officials, a forbidden romance and a rebellion just in sight) but it's so addictive and moves so quickly that I didn't actually care that it might not have been super original.
