If I were to have a sibling it would be different; my parents would have to be able to be there for both of us not only emotionally but on everyday tasks. I long for the brother or sister I never had when these fearful and sad thoughts come through. So next time someone pressures you to have more children or gives you crap about being an only child yourself, tell them that I turned out just fine — and your child will too!
