Short but enjoyable story. Halo Legends is an anime anthology series in a similar vein to "Animatrix" and "Batman: Gotham Knight". Great animation and battle sequences. Story … Whats more, the tough SPARTAN soldiers are portrayed as angsty emo teenagers. So many little easter eggs including a short FPS sequence and an important cameo appearance, easily make this segment a fan favourite for sure.

This could be called 'video game propaganda.' That’s why they brought in the ODSTs. If you were ever a big fan of the Halo universe, prepare to be greatly disappointed. The prophet uses this to accuse him of heresy and has Fal's wife killed in order to lure him to his death. It's about a female Spartan-II (humanity's last and best hope against the Covenant—Spartans are a group of physically augmented soldiers trained from a young age with special MJOLNIR armour) who quite incredibly, despite the augmentation which is meant to give her incomparable strength, is extremely skinny. Halo Legends stars Shelley Calene-Black, David Wald and John Gremillion and is directed by Toshiyuki Kanno, Hiroshi Yamazaki, Koji Sawai, Tomoki Kyoda and Yasushi Muraki. I could see the difference in Halo 2. It’s a great breather episode and a light hearted one in a collection of mostly heavy and serious segments. Brace yourself for unprecedented levels of retardation. These four shorts contain the bulk of the disc’s action; each episode comes alive with the pulse of an assault rifle and the pound of exploding plasma grenade. Having said that, I am no stranger to the Halo universe, and feel qualified to give this review. One of the weakest entries in the whole movie. Well again if you only like the Kon or Ghibli look then well you aren’t likely going to like this but that aside this is without a doubt my favorite of the shorts. Honestly this is more of a Samurai story slapped into a Halo canon thanks to Oshii walking off fresh from his movie on Musashi. The story itself was nice, the battles amazing. It varies in styles from watercolour, to typical modern anime styles, to CGI. This Arbiter's female companion quite shockingly resembles the Na'vi from Avatar. Your tolerance toward quirky Japanese humor will determine how much enjoyment will be derived from this chapter. Even the flaws like repeated scenes and inconsistent animation is present here.
Its good, exactly what I expected. Man was I glad that I did. Oh yes it should be mentioned that none of the game’s voice actors are in this.

But when I heard of this project, Halo Legends, I have to say my interest in checking it out was pretty high. That would be the best thing ever.
I hope much better then the last. I'm not even going to go into episode five. I'm glad they kept such strong contrast in the color pallet by not going dark just because it's a dark story like probably most other studios would have done.
