Buddy can’t take Alphonse’s arthritis away, or stop him from getting older. I have had many hardships myself. This book “A Boy and His Dog” is a great example of showing care towards others. Altogether, the boy finds out Alphonse has cancer and makes him worried. Buddy says that Alphonse’s eyes are always runny because he is becoming blind. The boy show great friendship to Alphonse when one day he falls over on their walk in the field. Being caring is very important. Life is a lot harder for Alphonse than it was when he was younger. It's important because it shows how we come out towards people. He cares too much about Alphonse. If his master is blind, the dog helps him to cross the street and acts as his loving guide. In order to escape, Shasta needs a horse, so he goes to the stable where the slave trader's horse is tied up. The boy would make sure he gave Alphonse the pills.
